Hello Linen Closet (Part 2)

So here is how our linen closet started, kind of. Really we had a whole closet with only two little wooden shelves - which couldn't hold much. My husband ripped those out and then spackled the areas of the walls that were ripped up from the shelves. This is what we were left with.

So we went ahead and repainted the area and then went to the Container Store last week during the 25% off Elfa sale and picked up just the bare bones - metal wire shelves and the brackets needed to hang them. Next stop was Homegoods to pick up some baskets to help organize some of our smaller and our mismatched items. Here are the after photos.

This large basket on the bottom was only $30 at Homegoods. It now stores our air mattress, steamer/iron, and vacuum attachments.

Now as you can see from my close up I don't have the same sheet folding talents as Martha, but it gets the job done. I also watched a youtube tutorial on how to fold a fitted sheet - this had always alluded me.

One basket is dedicated to table linens, the other large basket stores random blankets, the medium basket has hand towels and washcloths, and the smallest basket on the bottom stores our pillow cases and shams.

We also did put the door back on but I forgot to get photos of that.

So there you have it. Not quite as pretty as my inspiration photos but surely much more organized than our prior space and it will definitely be much more functional for us now.
