I ran into this pair of bamboo dressers yesterday at the Salvation Army thrift store. I stood there for about 10 minutes and even took pictures, my mind wasn't completely made up, however, so I left them. Now of course I have decided that I have to have them and will hopefully be headed back this weekend to hopefully purchase them (cross your fingers they are still there).
I think what has made me think I have to have them is all the beautiful faux bamboo furniture inspiration there is out there. Like all of these pretty lacquery white pieces.
I could also sand them down and add a pretty stain.
So of course now I'm kicking myself for leaving those guys behind. I think they'd be great in our second bedroom. We shall see...
oooh I wish I could find one too! it looks great, well done!!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you guys always find this stuff? Granted I don't go to the Salvation Army but it seems like I need to start! Great find.

ReplyDeletethose are pretty fab. my vote is black.
ReplyDeletehowever if you have the patience and time the natural wood look is timeless.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment today about my dining room. The chandelier is going to be big so you might be right about the gallery wall. That wall will need something....
