We painted our office/guest bedroom the first week we moved into our home. Sadly, not much else has been done in this space. The color is Valspar's Blue Arrow which is somewhere between a blue, turquoise, and gray. I purchased the Ikea Trollsta in black. I have a red desk which I originally planned on painting but now may leave as is. We still need a rug, I'm thinking black and white stripes, a sleeper sofa, and some miscellaneous pretty elements.
What has me stuck is that I am torn between doing an aqua, red, and black room or an aqua, yellow and black room. I love both and feel like I can't go any further until I decide!
So here it goes.

What do you think? Red or Yellow? Help. Please. For the sake of my office and my guests!
they are both really lovely. The seems to pop more. I like it a little bit better. I also think it's sometimes easier to transfer red onto other color schemes than yellow.
ReplyDeleteHi, found your blog from the decorpad forum. Am also loving this color scheme. . . here's a thought, why don't you leave your desk as the only red accent piece and carry on with your aqua, yellow & black room for the rest. I actually like the pop of color and think all of the colors would work well together. Thanks for all of the great inspiration pics!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for yellow!
ReplyDeleteIm sure it will be gorge no matter what you decide. I think im leaning toward yellow too but either one will be great.
ReplyDeleteI love both but the yellow grabs me first, but on the other hand, the red is muted and may stand the test of time better (and you already have a red piece of furniture!)
ReplyDeleteHow about a faux zebra or cowskin rug?
P.S. Thanks for your comment on my blog - I agree, we do seem to have similar taste! xo
