Hello Shangri-La

I am absolutely obsessing over the new Shangri-La collection by Thibaut. The patterns, textures, and colors have me absolutely smitten. I think they are such a perfect mix of traditional and modern. The photography used to showcase them is not too shabby either.

Here comes my favorite! The coral and turquoise are just so fresh and young looking. I'm now thinking this might be the perfect color scheme for our office/guest bedroom. How yummy would this fabric be for a daybed! It comes in some other great colorways including a turquoise and gold colorway, and a gray and yellow!

Hello Lonny on Etsy

Jenny over at MFAMB introduced me to Lonny on Etsy this morning. And yes that is Lonny Magazine on Etsy. They have some great images (photography) for sale. Here are some of my favorites.

The only catch is that each image is $250. Yep, every single one. Now I get that art is expensive, but to get a large copy of a photo for $250 is a little steep for me. I think they forgot that most of their readers are budget decorators. It makes me a little sad I can't buy - especially those yellow shoes and that heart shaped tree. I'm sure if it was the absolute perfect piece and I had the perfect spot I would probably spend it, but that's not the case right now, but it sure is fun to look. For those of you who can shell out the cash, or fall completely in love with one of the images, get over there because from the looks of it there are only about 20 of each.

Hello Cococozy

Cococozy is one of the blogs I've been following since the very beginning of my interior loving days. She always post inspiring images and great products. This week she has teamed up with Jayson Home and Garden to provide her readers with an awesome giveaway. The winner will receive not 1, but a pair of one of these fabulous home accents!

My vote will definitely be for those gold side tables, but I'd surely take any of the three. So head on over to Cococozy to enter the giveaway (it ends Wednesday), and I'd also recommend checking out Jayson Home and Garden, trust me you'll find dozens more things to lust over.

Hello Kitchen of My Dreams

I found this kitchen from Urban Grace Interiors via their new facebook page. If you are a facebook member you should probably go 'like' them! I think it's absolutely perfect. I love the turquoise cabinets, the tile, the pendant lights. I love the way it opens up to the other room without just being the typical island or counter space - I like the way the cabinets, moulding, and windows form a frame to the next space. On another note, I'm sorry there hasn't been much posting this past week - I've been super busy, and I will be the next few days as well. So please enjoy this kitchen while I'm gone.

Hello drybar

Have you all heard of drybar in LA? Here is a blurb from their site describing their idea.

"drybar is a brand new "blow dry bar" concept created around a very simple idea: No cuts. No color. Just blow outs for only $35. You see we believe that almost everyone (even us pros) prefer having someone else blow out their hair. Why? It just looks better!"

I think this is a fabulous idea. We all have the occasional night out, event, or wedding to attend where we really want to look our best with out having to pay a fortune or have some awful updo that we don't love. I would love to be able to go into this place, pay the $35 and come out with some professionally styled looking hair! I'm hoping they will expand this concept to Chicago. Plus look how sweet the decor is!

All images from here.
I need one of these.

You know a 10,000 square foot storage warehouse to keep my furniture treasures from my world travels in. It would be just like Kelly Wearstler's pictured above. I cannot even fathom all the amazing pieces one would find in here. I almost drooled on the keypad when I spotted this image. But really how great would it be to have a storage space so you could buy and keep all those amazing craigslist/ebay/thrift store/flea market finds that you are not allowed to purchase because you have no place to put them?! (In this fantasy world where I have a 10,000 square foot storage space I also don't have to worry about a budget). Well, I guess for now I'll just to continue to stare and drool and dream.

Hello Catherine Nolin

Just last week I discovered a new blog. That of artist Catherine Nolin. Her paintings are truly stunning. Most of her work is portraits of interiors, however, she occasionally does some abstract work which I happen to love! Her use of color as well as her attention to detail really makes her paintings stand out. You can really see every intricate little pattern in the paintings, the rugs, and the wallpapers she paints. I took some images (by some I mean a lot because there are too many great pieces to choose from) from her blog to share with you here. She also has her own website and etsy shop. I would highly recommend checking them out to see some more examples of her work.
