Hello Wedding Wednesday's

If you haven't already noticed by some of my past posts I am not only enamored with interior design but I also love wedding design. I have bookmarks and inspiration folders filled with pretty wedding details and I figure it is time I start sharing. So this week is the first of what I hope will be a weekly special called Wedding Wednesday's. Surely the name is nothing super original but I'm hoping to show you some beautiful images, DIY projects, and special details that you haven't come across before - or if you have, that they are so amazing you don't mind seeing them for a second time.

So here it is - my first Wedding Wednesday.

I first saw this lovely wedding here at Grey Likes Weddings. The bride made her dress strap from some of Emerson Made's famous blooms.

How amazing is this semi DIY detail? It adds color and a little something special to this bride's dress.

The Obsession Continues

So my organization obsession is still going. Strong. Although you wouldn't be able to tell by the looks of my house.

Last winter/early spring we installed an elfa system in our master bedroom's closet. One of the ideas I loved was this top shelf where you could neatly line up your purses. Lies. I have this top shelf and instead of all of my purses neatly lined up, standing in a row they just fall all over each other and have ended up in a messy heap on the top shelf.

Enter Mary Mc Donald via Lonny. These handbag hooks are the perfect solution! Look how neat they look. I figure I can either pick up a few of those 3M sticky hooks or find some great vintage or anthropologie finds.

And on a completely unrelated note - did everyone watch Gossip Girl last night? I definitely did not see the whole Colin and Juliet connection coming, and I'm usually all over those kinds of things.

Hello Office

So our office/guest room needs major work. As I mentioned last week our whole home needs an organization overhaul. When starting a project the first thing I do is turn to my saved inspiration images as well as hunt down some new ones. Here are some organized office spaces that I'm loving.

I'll be back tomorrow with some photos of our space as it looks currently. You'll see why I'm so desperately trying to get it organized.

Hello Silence

I apologize for the lack of posts around here lately. Life has been crazy busy. We had two weddings in one weekend (1 of which both my husband and I were in), I started a new job two weeks ago, and this past weekend my husband ran the Chicago Marathon. To say the least, my blog and my google reader have been very neglected. Chaotic times like these leave me pining for an organized home - which amidst our hectic schedules, the never ending bathroom remodel, and our lack of any real efficient organization system seems impossible. I'm hoping to be back to regular posting by the end of the week. I'm also hoping to have some spaces as neatly put together as the one above to show you in the very near future.

Hello Martha on Oprah

I am so excited that today the Oprah show I attended is airing on TV. It was such a fun experience to be able to attend the taping and I was that much more thrilled when I found out that the guest on the show that day was Martha Stewart. We somehow were lucky enough to end up being seated in the front row and you can even see me on tv. Being the fat kid that I am - I'm eating a sandwich. The grilled cheese Martha made was really good!

Martha was much prettier and softer looking in person than I would have guessed from the images I've seen of her. Oprah and her both had on some pretty amazing looking pumps. I was very jealous.

We ended up scoring some great loot. Everyone in the audience received lots of great Martha Stewart craft products from Michael's as well as a Michael's gift card. I've already put some of my Martha tools to work. Here are some images of the stuff we got to take home.

You should definitely check out the show if you can today - it was an interesting interview and the second half is filled with lots of fun Martha tips on entertaining, cooking, crafts, and homemaking. Including some amazing advice on how to infuse vodka and fold a fitted sheet!

Here is the link to the recipes from today's show and here is the link to the Michael's coupon.
